Mission
Why it matters

Most bookkeepers don't specialize in nonprofits.

That means you end up explaining fund accounting and restricted grants to someone who's learning on the job, on your dime and your time.

I've been in nonprofit books long enough that this stuff is second nature. You won't have to explain why you have seven different grant funds. I already know.

· Fund accounting

Restricted, unrestricted, and temporarily restricted funds tracked separately and reported clearly.

· Grant-ready reporting

Reports your funders and grant managers can actually use without a translation session.

· Form 990 prep

Year-end books organized so your 990 filing isn't a last-minute fire drill.

· Board-ready financials

Monthly reports your board can read in the room, no accountant required to interpret them.

The process

Here's how it works

1

Discovery call

We talk through your organization, your current setup, and what you actually need. No sales pitch, just an honest conversation.

2

Custom proposal

I put together a scope that fits your actual situation, not a package you'll outgrow in six months or pay for things you don't need.

3

Onboarding

We get QuickBooks dialed in, connect your accounts, and make sure everything is set up to match how your organization actually runs.

4

Ongoing clarity

Clean books every month, plus I'm here when your auditor has questions or your board wants a special report on a Tuesday afternoon.

About Kathryn

Hi, I'm Kathryn, and yes, I actually love bookkeeping.

I'm based in Oak Harbor, WA, and nonprofit bookkeeping is genuinely my thing. Not a niche I fell into, one I chose, because I believe the people running nonprofits are already giving everything they have to their communities. The last thing you should be losing sleep over is whether your books are right.

I've seen it all. The grant that comes in on December 31st, the board member who wants a custom report at 9am Monday, the audit that shows up six months early. I handle it all, and honestly? I'm in my element.
